Ameerah, The Cat Flu Ragdoll Rescued

Picture
One day, one of our dedicated carers fell ill and had to call in sick to work. Little did she know that this would lead to a remarkable journey. While feeling unwell, she received a request to pick up a sick kitten that same night. Despite battling a migraine, our amazing carer went to the location and discovered a beautiful Ragdoll girl in need.

The kitten was taken home, nourished, and given a name - Ameerah. The next day, she was taken to Dr. Lloyd at Gill Ave, where she received top-notch treatment. Over the following weeks, Ameerah, who had been severely affected by cat flu and diarrhea, made a remarkable recovery and even received her third vaccination.

Although it's uncommon, approximately 1 in 100 cats may experience a reaction to vaccines. Luckily, Ameerah didn't have an anaphylactic reaction. In response to her cat flu symptoms recurring due to seasonal changes, she received an antibiotic injection and an antihistamine injection. Within three hours, she was back to her mischievous and playful self.

Ameerah will always be prone to occasional bouts of cat flu symptoms and may be a carrier for life. Because of this, she found her forever home with her foster family. Ameerah now spends her days with her cat brother Mistoffelees and her cat sister Molly. She rules over a household that includes two small children, a kelpie, and two fully devoted human servants who have fallen head over heels for her.

Gracie Bella, The Abandoned Senior Who Walked Across The City To Find Safety

Let me tell you the heartwarming story of Gracie, a resilient and remarkable cat who found her way to a loving home after enduring challenging circumstances. Gracie's journey began when her original owner was hospitalized due to dementia, leaving her behind. She was initially cared for by a concerned neighbor who provided food and allowed her to be an indoor/outdoor cat. However, as time went on, Gracie found herself left outside without a permanent home.

Undeterred by her circumstances, Gracie made her way across the city and settled near a hostel that was frequented by backpackers. She quickly learned that by acting cute, she could win over the hearts of friendly travelers who would feed her. Life took an unexpected turn when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, and lockdowns forced stores to close and people to stay indoors. During this time, Gracie seized an opportunity and walked into a nearby home, making herself the queen of the household.

Gracie enjoyed several years of love and companionship with her newfound family. Eventually, they decided to make arrangements with the council, who reached out to a direct relative of her original owner. The relative, understanding Gracie's need for a permanent and caring home, signed over her ownership to SWARS for rehoming. Gracie then entered foster care for approximately six months, where she received the utmost care and attention. Professional grooming helped alleviate her matted fur, while anti-stress medication and the use of Feliway diffusers ensured her comfort, as she preferred to be the only animal in the household.

Finally, just a few months shy of her 14th birthday, Gracie found her forever family. She was adopted into a loving home where she now spends her golden years. Gracie basks in the sunlight, darts up and down the stairs with youthful energy, and cherishes every cuddle with her adoring family. Her journey serves as a testament to resilience, the power of love and care, and the joy of finding a forever home, no matter the circumstances.
